Farmers for Climate Action is a movement of farmers, agricultural leaders and rural Australians working to ensure farmers are a key part of the solution to climate change.
As the only farmer-led organisation that specialises in climate action, FCA work across the agricultural and climate sectors to manage risks and find opportunities to adapt to, and mitigate, climate change.
The FCA theory of change is simple, “if we organise farmers, graziers and agriculturalists, to lead climate solutions on-farm and advocate together, we can influence our sector and the government to implement climate policies that reduce pollution and benefit rural communities.” This action is both on the ground, and a broader collaboration.
Farmers for Climate Action have been active in our region, and FCA Strategy Director Cam Klose joins EarthChat this week to discuss the challenges facing farmers, both in climate action and politics, and the growth of smarter climate-responsive farming in our region.
It appears the State Nationals are talking up climate action, but Federally its not so encouraging. How do we change this narrative?
Peter Lockyer chats with Cam Klose this Friday on EarthChat on 103.9 Seymour FM. In a lockdown, you wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
