8. Tallarook Arboretum

00a NT08 Tallarook Arboretum DSC06316 wide1.JPG

Tallarook Arboretum is a small, secluded sanctuary beside Dabyminga Creek in the centre of Tallarook. Large old Red Gums provide shaded grasslands and habitat for many creatures, and a walking track winds through the Arboretum planted by Dabyminga Catchment Collaborative. The Arboretum is at the end of a short laneway off Main Road Tallarook. It has a small picnic shelter. The Arboretum was severely damaged by the 2022 and 2024 floods and is currently closed.
